Oxford Literary Festival is once again upon us and what a host of speakers and events they have in store...
Hilary Mantel, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Alexandra Shulman and Jeremy Paxman will all be speaking, to name just of few, of what is a long line-up, of highly acclaimed guests.
And from that list you can see literary festivals celebrate all areas of life, from politics, to fashion, to sport and fiction, so don't be put off if you're not an English student!
I actually attended quite a few literary festivals in the run up to applying to Oxford and found them to be really useful. They're a great way to get updated on current ideas about your subject. So be sure to check out ones in your local area!
And if you live near Oxford, well get yourself there! The festival runs until Sunday 2nd April and really is worth a visit!

Oxford will no doubt be even busier whilst the festival is on, so save yourself the nightmare city parking by catching the train or using the 'Park and Ride': https://www.oxford.gov.uk/directory/8/car_parks_in_oxford/category/56/categoryInfo/13
Take a notepad - I scribbled down loads of notes at the literary festivals I attended which proved useful for developing my thoughts for my Oxford interviews.
