The LMH Access Officer gave me some info on the college's foundation year, it's definitely worth looking into if you fit the criteria!
We’re the first Oxford college to offer a Foundation Year. This is a really super course designed to take academically able students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds and enable them to fulfil their potential.
Entrance requirements are lowered (e.g. typically BBB for a course that requires AAA for direct undergraduate applicants at Oxford) and successful students are given a fully funded year of tuition at LMH, with free accommodation and a generous stipend for living expenses.
Those on the course are given the teaching and support they need to progress to a full degree either at Oxford or another university – it’s a really fantastic thing to be a part of.
If you don’t believe us then listen to Vee, a recent Foundation Year student who is now going to go on and do an undergraduate degree here: http://bit.ly/2kNQBxL
