Boat Race 2019 - The Results

I hope you all had a brilliant time watching the Oxford Cambridge Boat Race today!

It's such a highlight in the Oxford Uni calendar and the atmosphere is always buzzing.

So, in case you didn't tune in today, here's the lowdown on the various races:

Sadly, it was a pretty miserable day along the River Thames. I've been in previous years and basked in the sun with a drink in hand but today the English weather was out in full force.

This was the 165th boat race between Oxford and Cambridge and this year a new record was set, with James Cracknell in the Cambridge Boat, as the event's oldest competitor.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the best day for Oxford, with a defeat in both the women's and men's race.

Cambridge have now won 84 Boat Races, compared with Oxford's 80, and with one dead heat.

It was the first time Cambridge achieved back-to-back victories since 1999.

There's always next year...!
