Mamma Mia - New Theatre, Oxford

By Tilly Rose

Last night, the @thatoxfordgirl team were lucky enough to be invited to the Gala Night for Mamma Mia the musical, at the New Theatre, Oxford.

With a fabulous drinks reception in the Piano Bar beforehand, decorated in ultimate Greek summer vibe - we're talking deck chairs, disposable cameras and tavernas - it was the ideal scene for what was to be a brilliant evening.

The show itself was electric. Throughout, you felt like the cast were having just as much fun as the audience. The performances were all super slick, with a stand out moment having to be when Sara Poyzer belted out The Winner Takes it All.

It's cheesy, colourful, hilarious and flare, everything you expect from a feel-good musical. And wow is it feel-good! In the final curtain call, the audience were all up on their feet dancing. The set transformed into an ABBA concert as we sang our hearts out to Waterloo and Dancing Queen!

This fantastic show is on at New Theatre, Oxford all over the festive period and is sure to have you leaving with a smile on your face and swing in your step.
