The Ivy!

The party was a night to remember, with plenty of great food, drinks, and vibes for us to enjoy. We loved the asparagus skewers so much, we “accidentally” encountered the super approachable, polite staff serving them multiple times! Bustling and energetic, yet sophisticated and without an overlooked corner or nibble—The Ivy is highly recommended for your next celebration or as another must-visit Oxford treat.

I was very fortunate to be able to attend the Ivy launch party! As soon as I walked in there were two people dressed up in amazing costumes waiting to greet us. We were then offered a glass of the most delicious fruity cocktail. Soon came the canapes which were definitely the highlight of the evening. I loved the truffle arancini (fried risotto ball) as well as the steak! There was also a nice veggie option of asparagus but equally the meaty mini Yorkshire puddings were delicious. The décor is absolutely stunning and is consistent with the décor in all of their other branches staying true to the brand. However, the private dining room in this Oxford branch adds a unique character and would be lovely for a future birthday or special event. The service was impeccable and many thanks to Tilly as well as the staff of the Ivy as we were treated with the upmost care. Their gin and tonics are a must try and their house champagne was delightful. There were too many dessert options to count but my personal favourite was the strawberry tart (pictured above) although their white chocolate champagne truffles came a close second. All in all a delightful evening and I would highly recommend giving it a try!

I recently attended The Ivy launch party and I would definitely recommend going if you get the chance. As soon as I walked in I was struck by how stunning the interior design was. The staff were all very friendly, smiley and attentive. Drinks and nibbles were served throughout the evening. My favourite was the steak, with the arancini coming a close second but the asparagus, prawn tempura and the other nibbles were all very tasty also. For desert, there were beautifully made creme brûlée doughnuts, lemon meringue pies and chocolate bonbons. They all looked beautiful and tasted even better. I would definitely recommend taking a visit to The Ivy and look forward to going again.  It’s the perfect place for any special occasion, stunning setting and amazing food, what more could you ask for!

The Ivy is beautifully decorated - it’s worth going just to look at the decor. You could spend

all evening looking at the different paintings and trying to spot drawings of Oxford amongst them! The plants are also stunning: there’s hundreds of them, and they’re all real. The attention to detail in the decoration is amazing, with each part of the building flow into the others. Throughout the launch night of The Ivy on High Street, we mingled with the other guests, visited the bar (where the bar staff are all lovely), and tried some of The Ivy’s excellent canapés. The dessert canapés were a particular hit, including creme brulle mini doughnuts, mini lemon curd tarts, and mini raspberry tarts. If the canapés were anything to judge by, the food at The Ivy must be really good!
